- Job Duties:
- Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust machinery; Operate or tend self-propelled equipment and implements much of which are equipped with GPS and used in agricultural production such as tractor, combine, tractor, sprayer, etc. for duties such as fertilizing, planting, spraying, weeding, harvesting, storing crops such as wheat, corn, soybeans, silage; Adjust and ready farm machinery and equipment; Clean work areas; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers to load carts and trailers; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools.
