Job Duties:
The employer will furnish, without charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required in the performance of the specified work. Workers will be charged for any willful damage or loss of such tools and equipment. Diversified crops: wheat, hay & straw Workers may fill planters with seed from 50lb. Bags. Workers may operate equipment to prepare fields. Workers may spray crops for weeds and grass. Workers may apply water and fertilizers. Workers may restock trucks and equipment with seed bags. Workers may use equipment to prepare fields for planting. Workers may load and unload harvested crops for shipping and storage. Hay & Straw: Workers may cut and bale hay, straw with equipment. Workers may load and unload bales onto trucks or wagons. Workers may load bales in barns for storage. Workers may load trucks for shipping. Workers may prepare fields for next crop. Other Related Duties: Workers may chop weeds from between plants with a hoe. Workers may drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest row crop. Perform variety of other duties unloading grain onto conveyors to storage bins and elevators. Alternative Work: This could include workers preparing barns, preparing land for planting, draining fields, maintenance of tools and equipment, and other work that is directly related to crop and activities for which the worker was hired. Workers may also during peak calving season, assist in the birthing, feeding and care of cows & calves, if such assistance is needed by employer. Such work will be offered when climate or crop conditions preclude working in the primary activities stated above. Alternative work may only be required if the first week wage guarantee listed in 20 CFR 653.501 is invoked

Alternative Work: This could include workers preparing barns, preparing land for planting, draining fields, maintenance of tools and equipment, and other work that is directly related to crop and activities for which the worker was hired. Workers may also during peak calving season, assist in the birthing, feeding and care of cows & calves, if such assistance is needed by employer. Such work will be offered when climate or crop conditions preclude working in the primary activities stated above. Alternative work may only be required if the first week wage guarantee listed in 20 CFR 653.501 is invoked. General Conditions: Workers will begin at an assigned time, 7:00 am and continue until 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. If work is available beyond normal workdays the employer may offer, but not require, the worker the opportunity to work additional hours. Workers are not required to work the Sabbath Day or Federal Holidays, temperatures ranging from 60 degrees to more than 100 degrees.
