- Job Duties:
- Bus Driver: Drive a bus to transport farmworkers on a planned or scheduled basis as directed by the employer or supervisor. Driver may pick up workers from the diffferent housing sites or pick up points and take them to assigned work site, transit between work sites, and return workers back to the housing site or pick up point at the end of te work day. Make trips to grocery stores, laundromat, airport, and govermental agencies, medical and dental offices. Must abide by precise instructions and strict but encessary safety rules and policies. Inspect vehicles and check gas, oil, and water levels prior to departure. Maintain cleanliness of bus. Handle passenger emergencies or disruptions. Make minor repairs to vehicle and change tires. Empoyer assures that driver will be paid the offered wage rate for actual driving time, including but not limited to trips to fuel vehicle and time spent maintaining the vehicle. Worker will be required to Workers may be requested to submit to a post-hire employer paid drug or alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the requestor testing positive may result in immediate termination. Negative result may be required post hire and before commencing work. Use of cell phone or other personal electroninc devvice while driving structly prohibited by law and violation may result in immediate termination. Must commit to entire anticipated period of employment. Must be properly liensed by a US or foreign equivalent with passenger endorsement and medical certificate to operte bus. Workers may also operate company pick up trucks and agricultural equiptment on or around the worksites.
