Job Duties:
Plant, cultivate, weed, tend, stake and string beans and peas. Hand harvest beans and peas and place into container, stack, or load containers onto wagon and pallets. Plant, cultivate, weed, tend and hand harvest beets, green onions and turnips. Bunch beets, green onions and turnips with bands and wash. Place bunched beets, green onions or turnips into container and stack or load containers onto wagon or pallets. Plant, cultivate, weed, tend and hand harvest cabbage using a knife. Pack cut cabbage into container, stack or load containers onto wagon and pallets. Plant, cultivate, weed, tend and hand harvest collards using a knife. Bunch cut collards with bands and pack bunches into container. Stack or load containers onto wagon and or pallets. Plant, cultivate, weed, tend, and hand harvest ears of sweet corn from the corn stalk while walking along the row of corn. Place ears of corn into a bucket. Carry bucket to the wagon and dump corn from the bucket into a container. Plant, cultivate, weed, tend, stake and string cucumbers. Hand harvest cucumbers into bucket. Carry bucket to washer and dump the bucket into the washer. Wash, sort, grade and size the cucumbers into the correct containers. Stack or load the containers onto wagon or pallets. Plant, cultivate, weed and tend greens, including kale, mustard and turnips. Hand harvest greens and place into container. Load container onto the wagon or pallets. Plant, cultivate, weed and tend okra. Hand harvest okra with clippers or knife and place into container. Load container onto wagon or pallets. Plant, cultivate, weed, tend and dig potatoes. Potatoes may or may not be dug with a tractor. Worker will bend, find and hand harvest potatoes and place into container. Containers will then be loaded and stacked onto wagon. Unload wagon at storage facility and stack containers on pallets. Plant, cultivate, weed, tend and hand harvest squash, with or without a knife. Place picked squash into bucket. Carry bucket to washer and dump the bucket into the washer. Wash, sort, grade and size the squash into the correct containers. Stack or load the containers onto wagon or pallets. Plant, clean vines, cultivate, weed, tend and hand harvest strawberries. Place hand picked strawberries into container and carry containers to wagon. Stack containers onto wagon. Hand harvest round and roma tomatoes into 5 gallon tomato harvest bucket. Carry buckets to wagon and dump into bin. Make boxes to hold harvested crops. Hand harvest grape tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, and roma or round tomatoes into 5 gallon tomato harvest bucket. Work tomato packing line. Empty harvested tomatoes into sorting line. Remove poor quality, unripe or non-sellable product. Remove filled containers and place onto pallets. Plant, cultivate, fertilize, mow, tend, shape, clip or trim using clippers/shearing knife, bale, tie and cut Fraser Fir Christmas trees. Load cut Christmas trees into wagon or truck. Plant, cultivate, weed, tend, stake and string pepper and eggplant. Hand harvest, with or without clippers, peppers or eggplant. Place into container. Stack the containers onto pallet, wagon or truck. Plant, cultivate, weed, stake, string and sucker or prune tomatoes. Use hand tools and agricultural equipment to plant, cultivate and harvest crops. Use hand tools including shovel, knife, post driver, hoe, hoe handle, clippers, screwdriver, sheering knife and chain saw. Operate and maintain agricultural equipment. Prepare fields by laying plastic mulch in fields, digging ditches for irrigation pipes and connecting drip irrigation in fields. Workers must keep up with the wagon/truck that is going down the rows during the planting and harvesting process. Clean, mow and maintain fields, including soil preparation, transplanting, thinning plants, weeding, fertilizing, spraying, insect control, plowing, cultivating and the removal of stakes, strings, irrigation pipes and plastic mulch.

Special Requirements:
Three months of commercial farmwork experience required. Walk, bend, reach, kneel, stoop, and lift, carry and load up to 60 lbs repetitively. Work in adverse weather conditions including extremely hot, cold and/or wet weather. Employer is a drug free workplace. Drug testing is conducted post hire at the employer's expense and is not part of the interview process.
