Job Duties:

Worker will operate a loader, equipped with cable, hydraulic or pneumatic controlled grapples. Load tree-length wood, four foot pulpwood and logs onto trucks and trailers. Select wood to be loaded by species and size to attain a balanced and compact load. Operate a truck so that loader can be moved from one site to another. Perform minor maintenance on loader and truck. Make minor repairs and adjustments to loader and truck. Be knowledgeable about mechanics and hydraulics of equipment. Must be able to read, understand, interpret and execute harvest prescription issued by forester, landowner and/or employer. Must have compatible understanding and knowledge of tree species. Must abide by all employer, landowner and OSHA regulations as they relate to forestry industry.

Special Requirements:

Must be in good physical condition and able to work in adverse weather. Must be at least 18 years of age and have six months referenced, paid production experience as a Log Loader Operator.
