- Job Duties:
- Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as moving hay; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Inform farm manager of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to fertilize, spray and harvest crops such as hay; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping including controlling weeds in pastures and fields; Maintain, fashion, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach equipment using hand tools; Attend to live farm animals including crawfish and cattle such as repair and/or replace, repair, rebait traps, harvest crawfish, calve, wean, process, feed, market cattle; Prepare traps for storage and store traps; Perform end of season maintenance on boats and traps.
