Job Duties:

Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Tow harvesting equipment. Additional Requirements: Calumet Manure Management injects manure from dairy lagoons into the fields of farmers. You will need to drive tractor in field to move the hose (umbilical cord) that is attached to a plow tractor. You will sit in tractors at the lagoon and move the agitation equipment. Run side by side along the drag hose to booster pumps to make sure line is secure and pumps are running smoothly.
