Job Duties:

Helpers-Production Workers/Box Erector/Plant Sanitizer/Production Worker Helper will assist in processing and packing, preparing harvested crops for shipment or storage; sorting, palletizing and grading; Workers may stage or prepare produce for processing, storing, shipping, grading, inspecting or wrapping. Load and unload produce items from sorting machines, vehicles and conveyors; Place non sorted produce into processing machine/flume for sorting;workers will erect cardboard boxes, stack and palletize finished produce; Production worker may assist in loading and running machines; Start machines or equipment ti begin sorting processes; separate and palletize produce according to weight, grade, size; May mark or tag identification on finished produce. Lift processed, finished products. and packed items for storage; Work requires repetitive movements with extensive walking, being able to lift 50lbs. Wrap stacked palletized produce for further processing or shipment; assist in preparing orders; count finished products to determine if product orders are complete. May weigh finished products. Constant standing, use of both hands, manual and finger for grasping and handling boxed/sorted produce. production worker will clean and sanitize work areas, machines, equipment or vehicles. Clean, sanitize and lubricate processing equipment . Adjust equipment controls to regulate flow of water, cleaning solutions or other liquids. Dilute and mix cleaning solutions as specified on label instructions and operating procedures; clean and wash processing equipment with broom, hose, fibers, brushes and other cleaning tools. Empty trash as needed. Sometimes may read charts, gauges and record data. Workers will pick up trash, clean bathrooms, sweep floors and other farm sanitation duties. All workers will be required and expected to follow common sanitary practices at all times. Employees are required to cleanse their hands by washing them thoroughly with soap and water after using the bathroom and before entering processing and sorting/packing facility. Workers will NOT touch or handle sorted/ finished fruit (open or loose fruit)”.
