Job Duties:

Job duties include feeding cattle, bedding pens, treating sick animals, sorting cattle, cleaning pens, spreading manure, and operating various equipment for needs around the operation. Job also requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to till soil; spread manure; and plant, cultivate, and harvest crops. Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities. Equipment that workers may be required to operate includes, but is not limited to, tractors with various implements, pay loaders, and skid loaders. Workers will perform general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, buildings, fences, gates, barns and all farm equipment; ensure operational areas are organized and well maintained; use hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; regularly service equipment; lift various items; use shovels; carry various items; climbing ladders when necessary; and walk for extended periods. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often, and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. Pay increase or bonus may be possible to employees depending on experience or merit and are at the sole discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements:

Applicant must have or be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire, and have basic English literacy and math skills. Employees will be lifting and carrying feed, tools, and gates. Employees will be exposed to the elements during the hot summer and cold winter temperatures. Employees may spend extended amounts of time in wheeled equipment and may walk long distances when walking cattle pens. They will also be bending over to pick up things in pens and consistently doing the same thing day to day.
