Full Time:
Yes
Number of Workers Requested:

Job Duties:
We grow corn and beans from spring to fall, preparing soils before planting and again in the fall before winter. We are very slow during the winter months and can get by with less help. Other summer jobs include mowing and maintaining yards on the operation, maintaining equipment as needed, and cleaning and clearing brush and fence rows. Job duties include preparing fields for planting, attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools, and operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, and other farm equipment. We engage in planting, weeding, spraying, and/or harvesting activities, fertilize, dust, and spray crops, and load and unload crops or materials manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. We load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks. We observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information. We attach equipment extensions or accessories, load and unload crops, operate equipment to harvest crops, drive pickup trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, and inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. *** Please note for 2025 we will be adjusting our start date to February 15 to cover our entire crop season starting with planting in the spring.
