Job Duties:

Workers are responsible for installing equipment for livestock confinement systems on farms, utilizing hand and power tools to install, replace, and adjust machinery, equipment, parts, and instruments. They conduct thorough examinations and testing to ensure proper functioning and safe operation of machinery and equipment. Tasks also include diagnosing and resolving electrical issues, positioning structures and objects for installation, and transferring tools and supplies to and from workstations and other areas. Additionally, they apply protective materials to prevent defects and corrosion and assemble and maintain physical structures. Additionally, workers will perform examination and testing of machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects to ensure proper functioning once livestock are in the building. Special Requirements:

Must be able to follow detailed biosecurity protocol as well as follow safety protocols and work together to maintain a safe working environment. Exposure to cleaning chemicals. Must be able to work in cold weather conditions. Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds for 75 yards. Post-employment drug test is paid for by employer when applicable for safety purposes.
