- Job Duties:
- Workers will be required to work crawfish ponds in preparation for harvest, repair and or replace traps for distribution in ponds, distribute bait in traps, harvest crawfish from traps into a trough to grade and sack, re-bait and reset traps, pick up traps after harvest and prepare traps for storage and store traps. Workers will also be required to perform general farm labor including but not limited to: repairing levees with a shovel, cleaning and minor repair and maintenance to equipment, etc. Workers will be exposed to water dangers such as poisonous snakes, alligators, etc. Drug tests may be performed post-hire at no cost to the workers to ensure worker safety and to keep in compliance with workers compensation guidelines. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination. Workers must follow all posted rules. Workers must be physically able to perform all duties described.
