- Job Duties:
- Seasonal, temporary workers needed for corn, soybean, and pea farm. Job duties include tractor/equipment/truck driving; field preparation; water maintenance; fertilize/plant/harvest crops; manual shovel work, hoe weeds; spot spray; repair/maintain equipment, farm, fields, pastures, and fences; maintain field levees, roads and shop; water troughs; load/unload trucks; grass cutting; canal and levee maintenance; pumps and water control for marshy farmland. Job involves frequent stooping and exposure to extreme temps; must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.; minimum three months experience; must have driver's license. Base hours offered is 40 hours offered; overtime hours are usually offered during plentiful season and may include an additional 10-40 hours of overtime work depending on the nature of the season; higher wage may be paid based on experience.
