- Job Duties:
- Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. Agricultural Equipment Operator: Worker will operate tractors, other agricultural equipment, and hand tools to remove citrus trees from grove, plant new trees in their place, and install, repair, or replace grove irrigation systems. Workers must have experience operating farm equipment and have adequate knowledge to make minor adjustments or repairs in an efficient, timely, and safe manner. General Grove Duties: Work will include planting young trees, pruning trees, painting trees, pulling weeds, cleaning between rows, and other duties as needed. In order to perform this kind of work, worker must be able to work outside for at least 6 hours per day in all kinds of weather and be in possession of the requisite physical strength and endurance to mount and dismount equipment quickly and skillfully multiple times per. Worker will clean all equipment from all leaves, limbs, and debris. General Specifications and Physical Requirements of the Job: All work is performed in outdoor agricultural fields and involves exposure to sun, wind, rain, soil, mud, dust, heat, cold and other natural elements. Worker must be able to withstand working in the direct sunlight, and conditions ranging from hot and humid weather, moderate rain and cold while performing their required job duties. Workers should come prepared wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for the environmental and working conditions described.
