Job Duties:

Construction Laborer will perform the activities to fix worker housing under the direction of the housing manager. The position follows company policies and adheres to all safety practices and requirements. The position ensures clean work areas that are free of objects that may cause accidents. Duties may vary from time to time and may include all the following job specifications: Will assist the housing manager in housing maintenance and house repairs for workers housing. Will be required to operate power tools. Keep tools assigned clean. Follow safety guidelines provided by the manager. Assist with plumbing, electric, plywood, carpentry and other repairs. Clean equipment and facilities. May need to drive a vehicle to get to the different sites. Work entails exposure to soil, plants, and materials. Employer will comply with the personal protective equipment when needed and restrictions for the use of chemicals. Workers are required to comply with all applicable worker protection standards as communicated by Supervisors. Workers must be able to listen to, and follow verbal instructions by Supervisors and understand the purpose of the required posters that are in place. Reliable and dependable - Able to follow basic verbal and/or written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues. Ability to work overtime, as required by the job. Ability to obtain a Driver’s License. Workers who are assigned to drive company vehicles requiring a driver’s license will receive reimbursement by receipt of proof of payment. Will be required to travel from one housing complex to other. Environmental Conditions - Labor most of the time conducted outdoors in variable weather conditions with large temperature fluctuations (50 to 90 degrees). Exposure to Bees, Wasps, Snakes, Chemicals, Pesticides, etc. Tools, Equipment Used - Worker can use gloves, serrated sickle, safety glasses, pickaxe, sickle cover, dust mask and helmet (as required), shovel, and hoe, lawn mower, hand tools.
