Job Duties:

Van Berkel Farms is a family owned farm in Northwest Iowa. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: Attend to live farm animals including cattle by duties such as feeding, processing, treating; Move and haul snow; Break ice in watering facilities and thaw pipes and fixtures; Work with bedding yards; Haul manure fertilizer and other materials to condition soil; Maintain, fashion, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures such as fountains, gating, feed bunks; Scrape floors and yards; Herd and load cattle onto trucks; Prepare yard to receive cattle; Organize area.

Special Requirements:

Six (6) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
