- Job Duties:
- Job duties include grading, packing, and bagging onions; operating various farm equipment to perform these duties includes but is not limited to forklift, skidsteer, loader, and pickup trucks. Duties also include shop and equipment maintenance and repairs; fixing onion and turfgrass pallets; snowplowing; monitoring condition of stored soy, snap beans, and peas; and building maintenance. Manual duties include grading, bagging, stacking pallets, operating drill and hammer, sweeping in grain bins that may contain corn or wheat, shoveling, and bending over and lifting when necessary. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop and weather conditions.
