Job Duties:

On a farm, conduct various cattle ranching activities, such as: handling cattle on foot and horseback. Worker will be expected to feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies. Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions. Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease. Assist in providing medical treatment, such as administering medications and vaccinations, or arranging for veterinarians to provide more extensive treatment. Tagging cattle in feedlot. Duties will include operating and giving maintenance to equipment used to feed, bed and clean pens in the feedlot. Horseback riding, herding of cattle and checking cattle pens. Basic ranch vehicle, equipment, and feedlot maintenance will be required and maintenance of building structures may be performed as necessary. Cleaning of equipment and worksite.

Three (3) months of agricultural experience required, including basic knowledge of handling cattle experience. Ability to handle operating equipment for cattle feeding. Basic mechanical skillset required. Horseback riding skillset required.
