- Job Duties:
- Caring for cattle over the winter. Duties can include building fence (both electric and barb wire and
panel, checking water, breaking ice, hauling water, maintaining water pumps if present, checking
cattle health, administering vaccines as needed, record keeping of cattle illness, feed given, minerals
fed, etc, hauling feed to and from cattle if needed in a pickup with trailer, pickup with bale bed, or a
truck. Driving a pickup, ATV, UTV, or riding a horse to check or move cattle. Doing any repairs and
regular maintenance to the equipment (tank trailer, pickup, ATV, etc if needed) Job duties may
include and are not limited to tasks such as: clean work areas, repair farm buildings, fences, and
other structures, tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working,
placing identification on, or relocating, use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes,
tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air
tools, electric tools, work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following
will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: horseback riding
for sorting, caring for livestock, pickups, cars, etc, semi trucks, skid steers, Loader such as payloader
or tractor loader. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cattle, horses. Must
speak English.
