- Job Duties:
- Increase colonies transport feed medicate beehives maintenance of equipment and facility scrape frames build paint and repair equipment. Job requires minimum of 3 months of verifiable, proven agricultural experience working on honeybee farms handling manual and mechanized tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Applicants must be able to furnish written statement establishing relavant prior work experience. Must be fit and able to lift/carry 60 lbs and experienced with operating a forklift or tractors. Must not be allergic to bee stings. Available to work variable hours, nights, and weekends as requested. Spanish fluency preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Worker must be able to obtain a Valid U.S. drivers licence within 2 weeks of start date and maintain a good driving record. Worker must not be allergic to bee venom, honey, or pollen from trees or plants. Worker will be expected to wear and maintain protective clothing and gear at all times, clean and maintainbeekeeping equipment, keep colony records & other related Beekeeper activities as perSOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org). Probable weekend/holiday work.
