Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops. Clean and maintain work areas. Maintain climate control systems. Maintain inventory, ordering materials as required. Maintain farm buildings, and other structures. Maintain farm equipment used for shipping product. Grade and sort products according to factors such as color, species, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, and quality to ensure correct processing and usage. Examine and inspect containers, materials, or products to ensure that product quality and packing specifications are met. Measure, weigh, and count products and materials if required. Clean materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and/or hand tools. Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment, such as conveyors, or in specified areas, such as loading docks. General ground/worksite maintenance and snow removal. Haul crop from bin sites to elevator. Operate conveyers, tractor-trailer trucks, farm trucks, skid steers, hopper bins, and other equipment as needed to prepare product for shipping.

- Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
