- Job Duties:
- Workers on this application will work on farms, performing daily chores for hog production operations. Daily chores include general facility cleaning, maintenance, and hygienic livestock and confinement buildings upkeep. Workers will unload, sort, and move hogs as required to perform tasks. Workers will prepare for and perform the disinfection process, abiding by the safety protocols to ensure the equipment is in efficient working order. Workers will power wash the facilities following the cleaning and disinfecting processes. Assist with recording and maintaining accurate production records and documentation. Workers must always follow all safety policies and procedures and communicate any potential hazards to the Department Lead or Manager. Workers will oversee the movement and loading of livestock for transportation. Assist in maintaining the health and wellness of livestock by administering medication and vaccinations. Routine repair work around the farm will be expected, including general maintenance of confinement buildings. Employees may repair fencing for hog, clean barns and confinement structures, replace bedding, and move and feed the hog. Workers will be operating tractors with various implements and skid loaders. Tools needed will be mostly hand tools and power tools and will be provided by the employer.
