- Job Duties:
- Ranch & farm work. On horseback & foot, incl. but not limited to herding, sorting, calving, castrating, branding, horn tipping, vaccinating, checking health, feeding, catching, banding, weighing, record keeping. Unloading & loading grain & hay. Controlling predators. Checking & maintaining livestock, farm animals, barns, stalls, coops, pastures, water lines, roads & fencing. Cut & clear brush. Horse/livestock/farm animal care incl. but not limited to stall & coop cleaning, feeding, shoeing, training, foaling, lambing, egg collection. Clean & repair tack & braiding. Heavy workload during seasonal breeding, calving, foaling, lambing, hatching, working cattle, training colts, & during drought or other excessive weather conditions. Closed Range. Lifting requirement of 50#.

- Special Requirements:
- Must be able to ride, handle, & care for horses & work cattle from horseback in a manner to assure safety of worker, co-workers & livestock. Must have basic working ability with fence tools & other farm & ranch implements. Must be reliable to perform assigned tasks capably & efficiently without close supervision. Absences and/or failure to perform required duties not tolerated. Must be willing & able to lift 50#. Must be willing & able to work alone or in small groups in isolated areas. Work involves ranch & farm animals, vehicles, machinery, outdoors in all types of weather (hot, cold, wet, etc) & risk of poisonous snakes, rocky terrain, storms, flash floods, brush fires. NO family, pets/animals with regard to housing. 3 months experience (references required). May be required to take post hire random drug and/or alcohol tests, at no cost to worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination.
