Job Duties:
Work includes: Help repair and maintain farm equipment, shop, fields, levees, and farm roads. Cleaning & treating of the seed rice for planting, driving tractors and general maintenance of rice bins. Workers will also assist in rice drying operation including; upkeep, sweeping, shoveling rice, spreading rice in bins, cleaning up rice spills, levelling bins and unloading/loading rice trucks. Crawfishing involves manually cutting up of fish bait, baiting of traps; operate motorized & push crawfish boats; load & unload Crawfish on trucks, frequent stooping and lifting traps from pond, repair traps as needed, lifting requirement of 40 lbs., repetitive movements & working outside in inclement weather conditions. All tools, supplies & equipment provided at no cost to workers. Housing provided on the premises at no cost. Transportation & subsistence expenses to the worksite will be paid by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract. Employees may make above hourly wage and or receive bonuses based on work performance and experience. Must have legal authority to work within the U.S.
