- Job Duties:
- We need seasonal workers to join our farming operation dedicated to cultivating corn, beans, and alfalfa. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in every stage of our agricultural cycle. In the spring, responsibilities include preparing fields for planting and attaching implements like plows, discs, and sprayers to our NewHolland 360, 390, and T7 tractors using hand tools. Throughout summer, you will engage in vital tasks such as planting with our JohnDeere 1790 planter, weeding, and applying seed enhancements and weed control. Operating machinery including sprayers, seed drills, and manure spreaders will be essential, as will be troubleshooting and adjusting equipment as needed. During harvest in the fall, you'll operate the NewHolland 980 combine and JohnDeere 377 Payloader to efficiently gather and store crops in our grain bins or local elevators. Additional duties involve recording agricultural data, hauling crops and tools with farm trucks, maintaining equipment through daily checks and repairs, and organizing our tool shop. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic farming environment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion., Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
