- Job Duties:
- Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, handtrucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities. Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications. Erect or dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, or other temporary structures. Place, consolidate, or protect case-in-place concrete or masonry structures. Mix, pour, or spread concrete, using portable cement mixers. Perform construction laborer duties at green building sites, such as renewable energy plants or wind turbine installations. Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles. Drive vehicles with capacities under three tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations, such as railroad stations, plants, residences, offices, or within industrial yards. Perform emergency repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, or spark plugs.Related occupations.

- Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
