Job Duties:

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties related to the production of potatoes, wheat, barley, and hay. The majority of the work activities during the overall contract period, however, will be related to general farm work/irrigation/crop production. General Farm Work will include the following responsibilities: maintain, repair, drive, attach and operate farm implements/tractors/equipment to cultivate and harvest crops; paint/repair farm structures; perform general cleanup of farm areas; drive, load/unload farm/Ag exempt, non CDL 10-wheel trucks on, or between, farm worksites; operate trucks/tow machinery including conveyors, scoopers and pilers to fields and storage; load and regulate flow of crops, using conveyers, scoopers and pilers, into trucks from storage; observe/listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions; manipulate/adjust/repair malfunctioning equipment or notify supervisor of malfunction; operate motor bike or all-terrain vehicle in the course of performing duties; workers possessing the proper licensure may be asked to transport other farm workers. Irrigation duties will include the following: set up/maintain/repair/operate irrigation equipment. Pivots: push on switch that activates circle sprinkler system; general maintenance and repairs including changing gear boxes and pivot tires. Maintain farm properties by mowing lawn, pulling weeds or raking and trimming of bushes and trees.
