Job Duties:

Job duties include the operation of various farm equipment to till soil, plant, spray, fertilize, harvest, and transport product to the elevator. Equipment that employees will operate includes but is not limited to tractors, sprayers, combines, backhoes, and grain carts. Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities. Job also requires participating in irrigation activities including laying pipe, walking length of irrigation pipe to puncture it at set intervals, setting up and operating irrigation equipment, clearing and maintaining irrigation ditches, operating well motors, draining excess water from fields, and monitoring fields to check on and maintain adequate water supply to crops; performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, pivot points, buildings, and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; and regularly servicing equipment. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements:

Drug testing may be done post hire at the employer's expense to ensure safety on and around the worksite. Employees must be able to lift 50 pounds, will be stooping and bending over when laying poly pipe, and repetitive movements when shoveling grain when needed.
