- Job Duties:
- On farms, participate in crop change duties necessary to sustain seasonal hydroponic farming operations during the months of February through November. Workers may assist in certain aspects of cucumber and lettuce production. Specifically, workers will assist with transplanting crops and farm sanitation and maintenance. Job duties may include: operating tractors and other farm equipment to transplant crops and remove green waste, hydroponic seeding and germination, planting cucumbers, planting lettuce, post-harvest and other sanitation of cucumber and lettuce greenhouses, equipment and facilities, washing and repairing farm structures, maintaining farm grounds and greenhouses, assisting in pest control (no license required), installing and maintaining the irrigation system. Equipment operated may include: farm tractors, light pickup trucks, and other common farm equipment.
