Job Duties:

Job duties will include operating large farm equipment, tractors, and sprayers to till soil and plant, irrigate, fertilize, cultivate, and harvest crops; cleaning and maintaining equipment; performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on farm equipment; loading grain trailers with grain, sprayers with chemicals, and planters with seed; lifting bags of seeds and jugs of chemicals; transporting grain from fields to storage locations; assisting with general farm duties. Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities. Manual labor will be required. Other duties will consist of using hand tools and brooms in the fields, grain bins, and other farm areas. Employee will be receiving crop for drying and storage at grain storage facility; disposing of spoiled grain; transporting grain from fields to grain bins; loading and unloading grain into trucks while keeping grain level; operating augers and grain conveying equipment; monitoring grain moisture levels; preparing scale tickets; and shoveling grain. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements:

Applicant must have, or be able to obtain, a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills along with 3 months of experience are required. Increase or bonus may be possible depending on experience and merit. Workers may be required to lift weights of up to 100 lbs when lifting equipment or loading seed or chemical. Workers may be exposed to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing or pulling, extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements while working.
