Job Duties:

Conduct water quality studies of production ponds, operation & maintenance of dissolved oxygen meters; calculate injection rates of fish spawning hormones, injection procedures for spawning goldfish, koi, white amur and other species of fish. Prepared nursery pods including control of insecting, monitoring of soo plankton populations through plankton samples and microscopic identification of plankton genera during spring and summer months. Perform spawning techniques on largemouth bass and training of bass fingerlings to eat commercial dry diet. Use approved chemicals for treating fish parasites and diseases and calculating treatment rates for herbicides for treatment of aquatic plants and algae as well as application of those herbicides. Exposure to extreme temp, repetitive movements, extensive pushing, pulling walking and frequent stooping Involves lifting and carrying of 60 lbs frequently The hours listed represent the normal work schedule. Due to the nature of the duties and weather it is the prevailing practice to work substantially more, less or different hours than those listed, sometimes for extended periods of time. When the number of hours for a week exceeds the number listed then, the worker may be offered, but not required, to work more hours. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on the weekend, a worker’s Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any change to start time.
