- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Conduct on-site bilingual (English/Spanish) training programs for seasonal agricultural workers.
*Conduct basic on-site bilingual (English/Spanish) training.
*Work to resolve work related conflicts between workers and employer members.
*Observe deficiencies and recommend solutions for complex issues that surround developing a legal, stable agricultural workforce. Reliable attendance is important in meeting the needs of growers/employers.
*Workers do not have hiring, firing, or any supervisory responsibility.
*Provide oversight and assistance to the Housing Manager within the assigned region. General cleanup of housing areas and perform other related duties as required.
*May occasionally drive vehicles to haul crops, supplies, tools, and farmworkers.
*Speaking and listening in English and Spanish, carrying, hand movement.
*Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and be insurable.
*Knowledge of the Agricultural Industry, Immigration, or Federal H-2A program.
*Possess excellent cultural sensitivity skills.
*Willingness to learn and accept feedback for continuous growth.
*Highly organized with excellent time management and communication skills.
* Must live in the Employer-provided housing and be available in the early-morning and late-afternoon.
*Ability to legally drive in Oregon State.
*Experience working with agricultural employers and laborers.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
*Basic knowledge and understanding of seasonal agricultural, agricultural housing requirements, guidelines, and maintenance.
*Working knowledge of supervision including performance evaluations, corrective action, and scheduling.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish, basic conversational level English.
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Ability to perform duties independently.
*Ability to work autonomously or in a team setting.
*Ability to compile, categorize, audit, or verify information or data.
*Basic knowledge of computer skills such as electronic mail software, internet browser software, office suite software, presentation software, spreadsheet software, and work processing software.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: Work begins at assigned time shortly after daylight. Work may be performed during light rain and in high humidity and in freezing or high heat temperatures. The worker may be required to work in the orchard when trees are wet with dew/rain and should have suitable clothing for variable weather conditions. Worker may be required to lift or load objects continually up to the weight limit identified in section B.4.
The Worker may never ride on agricultural equipment not designed for work related riding purposes or any other non-passenger intended equipment unless instructed and authorized by the employer or supervisor to do so.
All work related injuries must be immediately reported to the crew leader, foreman, or supervisor. Workers compensation claims may be presented to any medical provider, through your employer or state agency if applicable.
Full Growing Season Commitment: The worker agrees to be available for work and perform the assigned work for the assigned employer through the full period of employment in accordance with sections A.3 and A.4 of the ETA 790.
Light Duty: Workers restricted to light duty work by their physician may be offered light duty jobs in accordance with State Law and/or agency guidance.
Training: There will be a demonstration period to familiarize workers with job specification and to demonstrate proper methods and other crop specific issues.
