- Job Duties:
- This is an application for Agricultural Equipment Maintenance. This application encompasses maintaining farm machinery and equipment.
Employees will be servicing, and repairing helicopters that spray pesticides that eliminate insects and other organisms that could be harmful to cultivated crops such as but not limited to almonds, alfalfa, pistachios, and vegetables.
Job Duties:
-Observe and listen to machinery operations to detect equipment malfunctions.
-Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
-Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed according to the inspection regulations.
-Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions.
-Attach farm implements such as sprayers to aircraft using needed tools.
-Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery.
-Inspect equipment or facilities to determine condition or maintenance needs.
-Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
-Self-starter with the ability to prioritize work.

-Ability to solve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.
-Maintain equipment used in agricultural production and field preparation in agriculture.
-Lubricate all chains, bearings and tracks.
-Clean out bearings, shafts and sprockets regularly.
-Maintain a small set of hand tools including knives, airline nozzles, files, and sockets
-Assist head mechanic with repairs.
-Execute lockout tag out policies.
-Start and stop machine as needed/in sequence.
-Clean floors, surfaces, windows and walls throughout the facility.
-Adjust machine to manager specifications
-Adjust pulleys to specification for proper belt use. Install new belts as required.
-Maintain a professional work environment.
-Remove and attach guards, chains, and other protective coverings/barriers for L&I compliance.
-Assist in maintenance and replacement of any chains, belts, bearings, motors, shafts, gear boxes, sprockets, pulleys, key-stocks, frames, supports or other equipment/machinery.
-Clean out any areas throughout the facility where debris accumulates.
-Remove accumulated lupulin from facility surfaces and equipment.
-Obey all FISMA, Global GAP and other regulatory agency policies always while on premises.
-Monitor and improve product/waste flow and efficiency throughout the facility.
-Work with the complimentary shift to ensure the facility is running properly before beginning and after finishing each shift for approximately one hour.
-Provide feedback to lead mechanics and manager about consistent or recurring problems throughout the facility.
-Workers must follow safety instructions and supervisor guidance.

-Determine causes of operating errors and decide what to do about it.
