Job Duties:

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Clean, wash, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment such as tractors, combines, pickups, spray planes (air tractors), auger loader; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment including laying irrigation pipe, setting rice gates; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Unloading crop product such chemical, seed, fertilizer; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as combine, sprayer, brush hog, forklift, backhoe, planter, air seeder, grain cart, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as wheat, soybeans, rice, corn; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping including sweeping floors, taking out trash, mowing, weedeating, burning fields, manually picking up limbs; Use hand tools like chainsaw, leaf blower; Haul fuel to machinery and irrigation motors as well as seed to planters; Regulate conditions; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery using imperial math; Attach implements using hand tools; Must be able to speak and understand english.

Special Requirements:

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 60 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
