Job Duties:
Number of Workers Needed: 4 The number of workers needed represents the estimated shortage of domestic workers, and therefore the number of foreign workers the Employer anticipates will be needed. The Employer will hire all able, willing, and qualified domestic workers through the 50% point of the contract period and therefore the number of foreign workers hired could be substantially fewer than listed. Mechanics must be able to: -Rebuild a diesel engine, put piston/sleeves/bearings in an engine, replace fuel injectors, diagnose engine problems on farm vehicles, semitrucks, and heavy machinery (Case IH ag tractors). -Rebuild heavy duty transmissions on semitrucks when necessary. -Perform a complete overhaul on diesel engines, time diesel engines, and change heavy duty clutch on semitrucks. -Work on PTO systems, planting, and tillage equipment, jake breaks. -Harvest preparation includes preparing equipment, trucks, trailers, tractors, harvesters and field equipment. -Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul agricultural machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, trucks, combines, equipment. -Maintain and repair farm vehicles. -Record details of repairs made, and parts used. -Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation, and adjusting as necessary. -Clean and lubricate parts. -Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. -Tune engines. -Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions. -Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, milling and woodworking machines, lathes, welding equipment, grinders, or saws. -Fabricate new metal parts, using drill presses, engine lathes, and other machine tools. -Install and repair agricultural, plumbing, and among others. -Assisting cleaning and organizing the shop -Follow direction from leader of mechanic. Workers could also: -Replace engine filters, air filters, diesel, and hydraulic system. -Oil Change -Change of brakes and maintenance of spark plugs -Engine and transmission replacement -Replace damaged parts such as bearings, light bulbs, wiring (harness), batteries, hoses, and standard transmission repair. -Basic metal welding. -Standard Transmission -Special Mechanics. -Head gasket, valve seals, injector change. -Replacement of brake seals -Replacement of injection pumps -Replacement and maintenance of Radiators -A/C maintenance on cabin tractors and vehicles if needed. -Change of brakes, clutch, and maintenance of vehicles. -Engine and transmission replacement. -Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. -Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools. -Record details of repairs made and parts used. -Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation, and making adjustments, as necessary. -Clean and lubricate parts. -Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. -Tune or overhaul engines. -Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions. -Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, milling and woodworking machines, lathes, welding equipment, grinders, or saws. -Drive trucks to haul tools and equipment for on-site repair of large machinery. -Fabricate new metal parts, using drill presses, engine lathes, and other machine tools. -Repair bent or torn sheet metal.

2. Worker must possess 12 months of agricultural equipment maintenance experience. 4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 60lbs. 4f) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. 4g) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools, wheelbarrows, fruit containers, etc. 4h) May require worker to sit and/or walk for extensive periods of time while sorting, picking, examining, weeding, transporting, pruning, etc. 4i) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm labor such as weeding, irrigating, pruning, picking, removing debris, etc. 4j) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the farm labor duties, for example picking, sorting, pruning, shoveling, weeding. etc. The job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks. The job requires being reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
