Job Duties:

Patriot Farms, a dryland grain producer in south eastern Montana is hiring three full time positions for agriculture equipment operators. These positions will assist in daily farm functions including but not limited to: operating heavy agriculture equipment (60 foot drills and 100 foot sprayers), driving truck, mixing chemical, loading and unloading grain and fertilizer, routine maintenance and upkeep of equipment, buildings, storage facilities and other structures, mowing, operating sprayers and four-wheel drive tractors, road maintenance, assisting with harvest responsibilities, operating augers and loader tractors, communicating needs and concerns regarding field and equipment related issues and rodent control. Candidates must be eager to learn, willing to take direction, work cooperatively with management and other employees to gain skills quickly to work independently. Qualifications include: Solid and thoughtful decision-making skills, ability to listen and follow direction. Ability to lift 50-75 pounds frequently in a work day. General knowledge and mechanical skills of equipment and machinery required to perform above tasks safely, while maintaining integrity of equipment. Previous experience in operating John Deere sprayers and tractors. Benefits include annual bonuses.

Special Requirements:

Employer provided items (at no cost to the worker): All tools and equipment necessary to perform the duties assigned as well as transportation between worker(s) on-site housing and the work site. A cell phone or two-way radio will be provided for emergency and ranch communications at no cost to the worker (excluding long distance charges). The expected work schedule may be required in a split shift due to the nature of the job duties. Hours may vary due to weather, time of year and the requirements of the job. Work may be offered more than the specified hours per day, but only required to work the hours specified. Work may be offered 7 days a week but only required 6 days a week.
