Due to the United States District Court preliminary injunction order in the case Barton, et al. v. U.S. Department of Labor, et al., No. 5:24-cv-249-DCR (E.D. Ky., Nov. 25, 2024) (“Barton”), please cease processing the pending H-2A application, H-300-24306-447702,
and process the application initiated on December 12, 2024, on an emergency basis, pursuant to 20 CFR 655.134, in consideration of the start date which is fewer than 45 days from the refiling. This constitutes written permission to adjust the start date (if needed) to January 15, 2025.
Duties: Attend to, groom, and care for horses according to instruction. Perform general stable care. Provide horses with water, food, and supplements as instructed and administer medications as necessary. Assist in pre-foaling, labor, post-foaling, foal turnout and care, and mare teasing and weaning. Transport horses between stable, grazing, and training areas as directed. Workers may perform other labor incidental to the listed job duties, such as cleaning animals' quarters, maintenance of farm facilities and equipment and other similar tasks.
