Job Duties:

On farm recently acquired by employer, conduct pre-inspection of assigned semi-tractor-trailers to ensure they are fit for transporting agricultural products. Securely fasten sod loads in compliance with Federal Carrier Safety Administration (FCSA) regulations, transporting the sod from fields (owned or operated by the employer) where it is harvested to storage facilities or directly to market. Workers will complete associated bills of lading, logbooks, timesheets, and inspection reports. Occasional emergency repairs on changing tires and installing bulbs, will be expected to maintain efficient farm operations. This position is vital to supporting our farming activities and ensuring timely delivery of our sod products.

Special Requirements:

Requires six months trucking or relevant experience. Must possess an active CDL or its international equivalent. Drug testing (pre-employment, random, post-accident, and suspicion based) will be covered by employer. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs/75 yards.
