Job Duties:

Worker will perform a variety of duties related to breeding mares. Duties will include the following: remove rocks from grounds; perform general cleanup of farm areas; maintain/repair fencing; operate vehicle, motor bike, or all-terrain vehicle in the course of performing duties; workers possessing the proper licensure may be asked to transport other farm workers; check physical characteristics, observe general condition of horses and report concerns to managers/trainers; assist in delivery of offspring; apply or administer medications, vaccines and/or insecticides; mix feed/additives and feed/water horses; place mineral blocks; drive equipment to haul/distribute feed/water; confine horses in stalls; clean/disinfect horses stalls/corrals/sheds; wash/groom horses if needed; halter/break/care for horses; hoist/stack bales of hay onto wagon/truck.
