Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Prepare bees and beekeeping equipment. Split bee colonies. Feed and medicate bees. Treat bee hives for mites. Mow around bee yards. Set up and maintain bear fences. Monitor, maintain and increase bee hives. Load and unload flatbed trucks. Transport bee hives from bee yards to the honey extraction plant. Harvest, extract and package honey. Build and repair bee boxes and other beekeeping equipment. Sterilize all honey extraction equipment and facilities daily. Winterize all beekeeping facilities and equipment and prepare all bee hives to be shipped out of state at the end of the season.

- Special Requirements:
- Must be able to provide references to verify experience. No fear of/non-allergic to bees/pollen. Able to lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively. Drivers license in 30 days. Clean driving record required. Drug free work environment. Employer-paid post-hire drug testing may be required at random.
