Job Duties:

Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as tarping haystacks, removing and folding tarps; Report necessary repairs and repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (some of which is equipped with GPS) such as swather, rake, baler, stacker to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as hay in large, square bales; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer’s fields, load employer’s crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements using hand tools; Maintain, clean, and pick up after own self in a manner suitable to occupants of housing; Attend to live farm animals such as cattle; Employer has the right to enter residence to inspect and establish that house is being kept in an orderly manner; Read and understand basic principals in equipment operator’s manuals that are provided by equipment manufactures; speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
