Job Duties:

Seasonal harvest crew who swaths the silage and hauls it off, so CDL is required. Will also operate heavy machinery on farm, fix equipment if needed and have a good knowledge on equipment. Workers will also perform other tasks on the farm. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements, be able to handle working in high humidity, clean work areas, load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities, load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment, tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools, work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, bailers and other hay equipment, combines or other harvesting equipment, dirt moving equipment, grain carts, pickups, cars, etc, semi trucks, skid steers, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cattle, corn, hay, silage, wheat. Must be able to speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain following hire appropriate CDL and obtain clean driving record to drive trucks. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Employer will provide at no cost an effective means, such as radio transmitter, wireless device, or other types of electronic communication systems, of communicating with persons capable of helping in case of an emergency.
