Job Duties:

Drive and control equipment to support the agricultural activity of assisting in the installation of conservation systems such as terraces, water & sediment control basins, ponds, grassed waterways, grade stabilization structures, drainage systems, critical area plantings, native plant seedings, woodland improvement, pastureland improvement, debris removal, land shaping, land access structures, farm trails and roads, brush removal, unload trucks containing job materials, load fleet trucks daily with needed supplies, routine servicing and minor repairs of machinery on the farm, etc. Job skills required are safe operation of farm tractors and their implements, and skid loaders used for vegetation and debris removal on the farm. Job requires physical strength and agility to move materials to and from jobsites and to do hand labor such as shoveling and chainsaw operation, proper use of hand tools such as shovels, rakes, saws, drills, laser survey equipment. Assist in maintaining farm property by mowing, picking up debris, pruning, weeding, raking, sweeping, cleaning and putting away tools and equipment, cutting trees and brush. Unload potting soil and containers and bring to planting area, set up shelving in plant display area, fill containers with potting soil in preparation for planting crew, unbox planting supplies, help keep flowerbed, lots, and landscape trimmed and weeded.

Special Requirements:

3 months experience in earthwork. Employer requires all-newly hired employees to take and pass an employer-paid background check, due working near clients' and employees' families and property. All background checks are conducted uniformly after an initial job offer has been extended and accepted by the new hire. Workers must have a valid, insurable drivers license or be eligible to apply for same at no cost to the worker. Employer reserves the right to conduct employer-paid random, upon suspicion, and/or post-accident drug testing in accordance with state law. Any employee who declines to take or fails a drug test will be immediately terminated.
