Job Duties:

Operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmer’s fields and/or transport workers to the grocery store, or bank on an as-needed basis. Load agricultural products into trucks, and drive trucks to market or storage facilities. Not all workers are requested to drive; drivers will be required to possess a valid operators license. No one will be rejected for the position that does not possess a class D license. Manually plant, cultivate, & harvest vegetables & fruits such as; apples, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, sweet corn & squash. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, & knives. May operate farm machinery. Duties include tilling soil & applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops. Construct trellises, repair fences & farm buildings. Harvest fruits & vegetables by hand. A minimum productivity standard applies; 100 bu boxes of fresh market apples per day. All fruit to be handled with care to avoid bruising. Fruit injured by bruising, not to exceed 4%. Must be physically able to lift up to 75lbs on a consistent basis throughout the day. Due to safety concerns on a farm, workers must understand basic instructions in English. Workers referred as a result of this order must have a minimum of three months verifiable experience in performing the tasks described in this order.

Special Requirements:

The employer will expect worker to pick a minimum of 100 bu boxes of apples with no more than 4% bruising per day. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered to any seasonal worker employed pursuant to this job order at the companys sole discretion based on individual factors including but not limited to work performance and experience.
