Job Duties:

JC Farming farms a variety of crops: hay (4 cuttings per year), wheat harvest (usually lasts 5-6 weeks beginning the first week of July) and specialty crops that change annually depending on contracts such as peas, corn and pumpkins. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements, clean work areas, inform farm managers of plants or crops progress, load and unload materials and commodities, load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, operate self propelled machinery, tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops, trap and destroy pests, use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: bailers and other hay equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, irrigation equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, self-propelled machinery, sprayers, swathers, bailers, and other hay equipment, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: hay, vegetables, wheat, must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
