- Job Duties:
- Operates self-propelled custom class harvesting machines to harvest a variety of grain and oilseed silage crops such as corn, wheat and sorgum silage; Adjusts settings of harvesting machinery as appropriate for crops; Drives truck to load crops onto alongside harvesting machine in unison without stopping to transport crops to storage area. Maintain appropriate distance; Perform manual or mechanical adjustments to trucks, tractors, and trailers. Maintain and repair equipment; Transport harvested crops to elevators, silos, or other storage areas; Drive equipment from one field to another. Services machinery and make in field repairs, drive farm vehicle, minor daily and incidental upkeep to equipment and worksite.
