Job Duties:
Sugar Cane Field workers - 33 temporary positions; approximately 10 months; job to begin 03/15/25 through 01/15/26; Duties: to operate tractors in the fields during the preparation of the sugar cane fields for planting. To assist with the maintenance and the harvesting of the sugar cane crop. $14.83 per hour. 40 hrs a week. M-F; 7 AM-4 PM base schedule, but as with all agricultural work, it is influenced by the weather. OT may vary but is not guaranteed; three (3) months of experience in the job offered is required. All work tools, supplies, and equipment will be provided at no charge. Housing and transportation will be provided to workers who cannot reasonably return to their permanent residence at the end of the work day; transportation and subsistence expenses to the work site will be provided by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract, or earlier, if appropriate; employer guarantees to offer three-fourths (3/4) of the total work hours listed in the contract. Alma Plantation, LLC will provide employment to any qualified, eligible U.S. workers who apply to the employer until 50 percent of the period of the work contract has elapsed, which is August 15, 2025.
