Job Duties:
Workers will attend to cattle on a farm setting and perform a variety of related tasks. Duties include mixing feeds and additives, filling feed and water troughs, feeding and watering livestock, taking cattle to pasture for grazing, washing and grooming cattle, and performing light maintenance of livestock stalls. Workers will assist during the breeding season by performing tasks such as calving, vaccinating, and moving or hauling cattle to different pastures. Regular duties also include cleaning pens, barns, and stalls to maintain sanitary conditions, and monitoring cattle health to identify signs of injury or disease. Workers will operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled equipment to plow, harrow, and fertilize soil, and to plant, cultivate, spray, and harvest hay, wheat, beans, and corn. Workers will perform brush control by clearing overgrown vegetation and maintaining pasture areas. Irrigation tasks include constructing, repairing, and moving irrigation lines to ensure adequate water distribution and drainage across fields. General property maintenance will involve constructing, repairing, and maintaining fences, gates, roads, barns, and sheds, as well as conducting routine maintenance on farm equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Additional miscellaneous tasks include loading and unloading supplies, mowing and weed-eating around farm buildings, disposing of debris, and adhering to all safety protocols. Workers must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, bending, and repetitive movements. All hand and power tools, equipment, machinery, materials, supplies, replacement parts, chemicals, and protective clothing or gear necessary to perform the job duties, as well as daily transportation to and from the fields where work will be performed, will be provided at no cost to the employee. Workers must comply with all H-2A regulations throughout the employment period.

Special Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to move farm equipment and farm materials. At times will carry 50 pound strap on backpack sprayer to apply pesticides, herbicieds, and liquid fertilizer, lift bags of feed, move farm materials and equipment. No testing will be required, we will accept the applicant's statement that they are able to lift up to 50 lbs.
