Job Duties:

Workers may operate, service, and/or repair a variety of farm equipment. Workers will, with supervisor's instructions; diagnose, repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, components, electrical and fuel systems, etc. for various powered and rolling equipment such as cars, trucks, buses, farm equipment and generators. Agricultural equipment will include tractors, truck tractors, front loaders, skid steers, forklifts, vegetable harvesters, lawn mowers, and trailers hauling vegetables and/or grain to main farm location and/or to plants. Workers will keep the inside and outside of the equipment clean. Workers may also drive other H2A workers to and from housing, main farm location, worksites and/or stores, bank, etc. Workers will maintain service records. Workers must possess a valid driver’s license and meet all applicable legal requirements, including holding a doctor’s certificate as required by 29 CFR § 500.105, in order to drive vehicles for transporting workers, goods, or commodities on company business.

Special Requirements:

Three months verifiable experience required in commercial, conventional farming in the agricultural jobs/tasks listed. Applicants must be 18 years or older. Random drug and alcohol testing may be done in accordance with state law, post-hire at employer's expense. Valid driver's license required. Employer has identified these limited categories of recent criminal convictions as those which raise an unnecessary risk of further criminal conduct and the potential of injury to co-workers due to the physically strenuous work being offered with communal temporary living quarters and daily transportation to and from the place of employment which is being provided, it requirement it will be conducted after hire at employers expense.
