Job Duties:
The workers will drive and operate potato equipment to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store potatoes. Till soil, plant and cultivate winter potatoes. Pay attention to crop quality and sort as needed. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive potato trucks to transport potatoes to storage area and packing facility on the farm. Assist with packing and bagging potatoes in the packing facility on the farm. Make sure packaging facility is clean and sanitized. Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat at all times. Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations. Organize warehouse and work area on the farm. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Will be responsible for building and yard repair as well as various projects that worker may be assigned. Must keep accurate and detailed field and crop records. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Minimum of (3) months experience required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire. No minimum education required. "Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and be available to work Monday through Friday from 8AM until 3PM. Workers must be available to work weekends and 12 hour shifts as needed, beginning and ending times will vary depending on the weather conditions and work load. Please note that while normal hours are 8am to 3pm Monday through Friday, the workload is unpredictable depending on the season, and workers must be available to work as needed.” Drug/alcohol-free work zone. Workers after hire, may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Employer will abide by all of Colorado’s agricultural laws to include Senate Bill 21-087 (“SB87”) and any subsequent Overtime and Minimum Pay Standards Orders (COMPS Order).

Special Requirements:
This job requires a minimum of three months of prior experience working on a vegetable crop farm handling both manual and machine tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Workers must be able to perform manual as well as mechanized activities with accuracy and efficiency. Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and be available to work Monday through Sunday from 6AM until 11PM. Beginning and ending times will vary depending on the weather condition and work load. The job will require extensive sitting in tractor, potential to get dirty, pushing, pulling, basic mechanical ability and tractor operation. Drug/alcohol-free work zone. Workers after hire, may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Workers must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire.
